Research Training and Management (RTM) International in partnership with Katalyst provided necessary technical and financial assistance to facilitate the development of this website.
RTM International, an independent national NGO in Bangladesh provides high quality technical and information support for the development of local capacity to identify sustainable approaches that improve and maintain health, education, gender equity, environment and human rights. It operates closely with national and international development organizations, government departments, NGOs, independent experts and specialized public institutions both in Bangladesh and in the region.
Katalyst, a market development project since 2003, works through increasing the competitiveness of micro, small and medium sized enterprises in selected urban and rural sectors. Katalyst follows a pro-poor, market development approach in promoting economic growth with focus on sectors with high growth potential in terms of jobs, productivity, and profitability.
The NIPORT website has been developed with the objective to ensure the transparency and accessibility of information NIPORT wants to disseminate to its intended audiences, which include but are not limited to: training institutes (FWVTIs, RTCs and Other private institutes), trainees of health sector (FWVs, MAs, SACMOs, HAs, FWAs, and FPIs), research organizations, and NGOs etc.
This website now encompasses a well functioning web based platform to access information on NIPORT’s service, the trainings and research publications. It clearly outlines the government guidelines, course curricula, and registration process of institutes, training schedules, administrative notices and other relevant information.
RTM-Katalyst also facilitated NIPORT in the process of development of guidelines and approval for the Community Paramedic (CP) course, where 18 month curriculum of Family Welfare Visitor (FWV) has been upgraded to a 2-year curriculum with incorporation of additional and specialized components on Maternal & Child Health (MCH) and Reproductive Health – Family Planning (RH-FP), Communicative English and IT.
